A proud resident of the Waterloo Region, Nik has spent his entire adult life in Kitchener-Waterloo, where his family is firmly rooted in the community. Nik’s connection to the Waterloo area began in the early ’90s when he enrolled at the University of Waterloo. While earning his Bachelor of Arts degree, he also competed as a three-year Warrior on the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, serving as team Captain in his final season. The leadership, discipline, and resilience he developed as a student-athlete have been cornerstones of his professional success. After completing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor, Nik taught English and Math from 2001 to 2006. His time as an educator sharpened his communication skills and the patience required to navigate complex transactions—a skillset that continues to benefit his clients today. Nik began his real estate career in 2004 and quickly ascended to elite levels of production as an agent for RE/MAX, earning accolades that placed him among Canada’s top-performing brokers. In 2021, after 18 successful years, Nik co-founded Engel & Völkers Waterloo Region and in 2022 served as Managing Partner at Engel & Völkers York Region in King City. Today, Nik plays a pivotal leadership role as the Director of Growth for Corcoran Horizon Realty, bringing Manhattan’s leading real estate brand, The Corcoran Group, to Canada. With a vision to expand the company, Nik combines his entrepreneurial spirit with his dedication to elevating the real estate experience for both agents and clients. Beyond his professional achievements, Nik is an active community member and adventurer.
